Security for your self storage

In recent news, a national self storage company has made an appearance because of a break-in. Their facilities were broken into and numerous tenants suffered loss of their personal belongings. Unfortunately, this same company has suffered from several break-ins in the past and as a result, theft of their tenants’ belongings.

Our Security Systems

We are not associated with this company. We are privately owned and operate independently of chain storage companies. It can be alarming for a self storage customer to see these types of news stories, but rest assured your belongings are safe with us. We have extensive security systems in place – including a security guard, gated facilities and security cameras.

Insurance Policies

However, we’d like to remind tenants that their belongings are not insured with us. It’s important to verify with your homeowner or renters’ insurance that your storage unit is insured in the case of damage, theft, etc. If you’re not insured under your policy, we do offer optional insurance through an outside agent. We advise tenants to obtain insurance if they don’t already have it.

We have great relationships with our vigilant tenants that let us know if something seems out of the ordinary. In addition, we have an after-hours security guard who keeps an eye on the place for us.
