Dillingham Storage for Local Businesses

Dillingham Storage loves hosting small business owners. We have many local entrepreneurs and businesses who utilize our storage facility for work-related reasons. We have seen people setup remote office spaces, workshops, or merchandise storage. A workspace in a quiet storage facility is attractive for business owners who are looking for cheaper office space. Office leases can be expensive for small businesses and also require long-term commitments. We can offer a comparable product with a short-term commitment. In light of the pandemic, we have also had more individuals looking for office spaces outside of their home to accomodate their new lifestyle.

Scott has been a tenant with us since the very beginning in 2010, and has stayed with us ever since. He owns a printing company that works on promotional items for groups. He prints logo items for sports groups like the University of Hawaii football team. Scott prints jackets, bags, towels, pens, T-shirts and recently started printing face masks. Occasionally he will meet clients here at Dillingham Storage and we get the chance to meet some popular athletes. We are so happy to have Scott here so we can meet some of his famous clients!

Storage Units for Small Businesses

Storage units can be assets for small businesses in need of extra space. We host several small business owners at our facility who make great use of our large storage units. We love to hear about their creative use of the space.

Larry moved into one of our drive up units in 2018. Larry owns a handyman service business. He primarily uses the storage unit as a workshop to store items and tools. Earlier this month, he upgraded to a larger drive-up unit, which was exactly the size he was waiting for! Larry was pretty excited to move into a much-needed larger space. Before moving into the new unit, he built an entire mezzanine in the larger space. The drive-up units on the first floor are large, they can be up to 12’ tall. Maximizing the storage capacity of these units is difficult without some kind of shelving. Larry was smart and built a mezzanine to accommodate this. We highly recommend using shelving or some structure that can access storage at the top of the unit to maximize the utility of the space. Larry’s business does high quality work with a quick turnaround time. We love having him at Dillingham Storage and admire his creative use of the storage units.
