Move Out Policy at Dillingham Self Storage
Here at Dillingham Self Storage, our move out policy is simple. We do not require an advance notice of move out. We know a moving process can be stressful, so we want to make it as easy as possible for you. We are aware that most storage facilities require a 30 day written or oral notice of terminating the storage lease. However, we do not.
Vacate by the First
We operate on month to month leases at our facilities. If a storage customer has all of their items vacated from their unit and the lock is not on the storage unit by the first of the month, we consider that to now be a vacant unit. That tenant will not be responsible for the next month’s storage rent. We do not prorate our storage leases which follows in line with our storage policy for a tenant to be out on the first. We advise customers to plan their move out toward the end of the month because of this policy.
Dillingham Self Storage Move Out Process
We make sure to notify our tenants about the move out process while we are touring them around the facility. At Dillingham Self Storage, we walk all floors and aisles twice daily, and this is how we know that a customer has moved out. If you are moving out, make sure to not only vacate your unit but also remove the lock from the door of your unit so we know that you have officially moved out!
We also offer moving trucks at our facilities to make your move out process even easier!
