A long-time customer of our self storage units in Honolulu, who we had known had been through a lot, came in one day to check in with us. He started telling us that there was just no sense in living anymore. He talked of his struggle on a daily basis and his loss of will to continue. After a long heart to heart talk with him, we learned that he had three children, his time as a chef was what he was passionate for, and that he really was trying.
From what started as just a simple check in to see how he was doing, he cried as he told us his story, we of course empathized with him and talked him into continuing in the right path and he eventually left our office laughing and smiling.
